WAVEROLLER ELECTRICITY

WaveRoller is a new form of renewable electric-energy: a set of plates oscillating fiberglass and steel, installed below the sea surface and pushing back and forth from the roll of the water currents, will produce endless power, because waves are infinite. The oscillation of the plates acts on pistons feeding a hydraulic motor, connected in turn to an electric generator that produces electricity. Energy will be transported on the mainland through underground cables. The plant is designed by AW-Energy, is under study, the prototype will be installed in the sea off the city of Peniche (Portugal), also known as "the capital of the waves." The plant will be connected to the electricity grid and will be closely monitored for the first 12 months.

WAVEROLLER ENERGIA ELETTRICA DALLE ONDE DEL MARE

WaveRoller è una nuova forma di energia rinnovabile: una serie di piastre oscillanti in fibra di vetro e acciaio, installate sotto la superficie del mare e spinte avanti e indietro dal rollio delle correnti d’acqua, produrranno energia elettrica infinita, perchè infinite sono le onde. L’oscillazione delle piastre agisce su pistoni che alimentano un motore idraulico, collegato a sua volta ad una generatore elettrico che produce elettricità. L'energia sarà trasportata sulla terra-ferma mediante cavi sotterranei. L’impianto è ideato da AW-Energy, è in fase di studio, il prototipo sarà installato nel mare antistante la città di Peniche (Portogallo), conosciuta anche come “la capitale delle onde”. L’impianto sarà connesso alla rete elettrica e verrà attentamente monitorato per i primi 12 mesi.
